How to share an AI with people who don’t use ChatGPT
You’ve set up something useful in ChatGPT or Claude: your rules, your recipes, your class notes. Now you want your co-op, team or grandmother to use it, and they don’t have accounts, don’t want an app, and won’t learn a new tool. The answer is a plain link that just works.

What “just works” means
- A normal web link, like harbor-view.hostlet.ai, that opens on any phone or computer.
- No account or app for the people asking.
- Answers from your material only, with the source shown, so people can trust it.
- You decide who gets in: anyone, people with a passcode, or named people with personal invite links.
Move your knowledge over in three steps
- Gather the source files you gave your chat assistant: PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets, or photos of paper pages.
- Make the AI at hostlet.ai (name it, publish), then add the files under Teach it.
- Copy your instructions over as a note. If you told your assistant things like “our quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am,” type those facts in as a short note so they’re citable.
Pick the right kind of sharing
- Public: anyone with the link can ask. Right for a restaurant, a shop, or event info. Never listed on Hostlet unless you ask.
- Passcode: one code for everyone, shared in the newsletter or group chat. Right for a club or PTA. Change it any time.
- Personal invites: each person gets their own link, which you can turn off individually. Right for a building, a class, or anything where people come and go.
For people who aren’t comfortable with tech: send the invite link by text, and tell them it’s “like texting a question to the office.” They tap, type, and get an answer.
And if they do use ChatGPT or Claude?
They can ask your AI from there too. Turn on the connector in your AI’s settings and other AIs can query it, so the same answers reach people wherever they already are.
Common questions
Do the people I share it with need an account?
No. They open the link and ask. With a passcode or invite, they enter it once on their device.
Can I see who is using it?
With personal invites you can see each invited person and turn any one off. Reports show the questions asked.
Is my material private?
People get answers, not your files, and a private AI can’t be opened without a passcode or invite. Your files are never used to train AI models.
