How to add an AI chatbot to your website
A chat bubble in the corner of your site that answers visitors’ questions from your own menu, policies or FAQ, any hour of the day. With Hostlet it’s one line of code. Here’s how to set it up and where to paste that line in the common website builders.

Before you start
Make the AI first and give it your material: from a PDF or from any documents. Ask it ten questions your customers really ask. A website bubble that answers badly is worse than none.
The one line
In your AI’s settings, open Share and copy the website code. It looks like this, with your AI’s name:

Where to paste it
- WordPress: add a Custom HTML block on the pages you want, or use a header-and-footer code plugin to add it to every page.
- Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Shopify and similar: look for a setting called “code injection,” “custom code,” or “embed HTML,” and add it to the footer. Some builders only allow custom code on paid plans.
- Plain HTML sites: paste it before </body> on each page, or in your shared footer template.
Want it to match your brand? Add data-color="#0F766E" (any color) to the line to change the button color.
Make it worth clicking
- Answer the top five questions perfectly. Hours, prices, delivery, booking, returns. That’s most of the traffic.
- Check what visitors ask. Reports list real questions, including the ones your material didn’t cover. Add those answers weekly for the first month.
- Keep it current. When the menu or policy changes, replace the file. The AI only knows what’s there now.
No website? Use the link
Every AI also has its own page at your-name.hostlet.ai. Put it in your email signature, Instagram bio, Google Business profile or a QR code on the counter.
Common questions
Will the chat bubble slow down my site?
The script is small and loads with defer, so it doesn’t hold up your page. The chat window loads only when someone taps the button.
Can visitors see my documents?
No. They get answers with a short citation, never the files.
Does it cost anything?
Free for most: 200 questions a day per AI. Paid plans with more questions are coming soon.
Can I remove it later?
Yes. Delete the line from your site, or delete the AI.
